Czech on-budget support and other contributions

Czech Republic has been a constant contributor to different Afghan or international funds and programmes in Afghanistan. In 2012 Czech Republic supported UNDP’s Law and Order Trust Fund (LOTFA), Afghan National Army Trust Fund and UNODC project “Drug and HIV services for female prisoners and juvenile detainees in Afghanistan”.
In August 2012 the Government of the Czech Republic declared its readiness to contribute in 2014-2017 1 mil. USD a year to Afghan national development funds and in 2015-2017 another 1 mil. USD a year to Afghan National Security Forces funding mechanisms.
Czech Republic is one of the first countries which has already made such commitments responding to Tokyo Conference communiqué (2012) .
