Czechs teach Afghan farmers how to dry fruits and vegetables better

The Czech Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) in Logar province in eastern Afghanistan has distributed twenty solar fruit dryers. On Sunday, 3rd August, the Czech Provincial Reconstruction Team organized a training course for users - representatives of the local agricultural cooperatives. Thanks to this modern technology, nearly 900 farmers - members of the cooperatives, will be able to process, in a more efficient way, already this years´ harvest of apricots and grapes and to sell the resulting products at the local market for triple the price.
