Tour to Surkhab Dam

Due to nearly thirty years of fighting, the technical condition of Surkhab dam is very poor. More than seventy years old construction endangers fields in Mohammad Agha district. Drain facilities are as old as the construction itself and they have never been renovated. The dam requires a comprehensive reconstruction that will be carried out by the Czech Provincial Reconstruction Team. After its reconstruction, the capacity of the dam will be increased and thus facilitate improved irrigation in Mohammad Agha district.
